Keeping connected with the sign industry is very important to us at BSC Signs. That’s why we are members of the Colorado Sign Association, the International Sign Association, and World Sign Associates.

We believe that it’s important to be active in the local business community and to support our industry’s trade associations. It keeps us up to date with the latest developments in the sign industry, and connected to other sign and graphics companies in Colorado.

Colorado Sign Association Member

John Dobie, BSC’s company president and founder, has served as the President of the Colorado Sign Association for the past year, and before that as Vice-President for two years. Today at the Asssociation’s Annual Meeting in Denver, a new President will be elected, and John will continue to serve on the Board of Directors as Past-President.

Colorado Sign Association event

In 2015 and 2016, BSC Signs hosted the Association’s summer networking event at our shop in Broomfield. This was the first time the summer event was held at a member’s business, and they were very well attended.

Members include sign companies, vendors such as sign supply companies, sign product manufacturers, and other sign-related businesses. The Association represents the sign industry in Colorado and works for the benefit of its members. It includes helping members stay current with regulations, advocating for the sign industry with state and local governments, and providing business networking and educational opportunities.

The Colorado Sign Association is one of 17 affiliate organizations of the International Sign Association. The ISA is a trade association with over 2,300 member companies from the sign, graphics, and visual communications industries. It presents ISA Sign Expo, an industry trade show that attracts over 20,000 attendees and 600 exhibitors each spring. BSC Signs has been a member of the International Sign Association for many years, and we attend Sign Expo every year. Our employees attend the excellent training program offered at Sign Expo, in addition to taking in the exhibits on the show floor.

The Colorado Sign Association also works to educate the public about signage, and to encourage cordial and cooperative relations among members of the Colorado sign industry. From the CSA website:

The Colorado Sign Association represents the interests of the sign industry throughout the state. This non-profit organization is for the mutual benefit of its member sign companies, sign-related companies, their employees, sign users and the business community with respect to on-premise signage.

BSC Signs supports the association’s efforts to encourage ethical business practices. We believe in treating customers and employees fairly and delivering on our promises.  We follow the Colorado Sign Association’s Best Practices Standards, which are published on the association’s website.

We’re proud of our involvement with the Colorado Sign Association, and would like to thank the members, Executive Director Patti King, and the CSA staff for their continued dedication to building a strong sign industry in the state.

You can learn more about the Colorado Sign Association at www.cosigns.org. The association publishes a monthly newsletter and maintains a Facebook page and Twitter account.
